FAQ
How can I book the Quartet?
We can be contacted by email or by telephone. Please see our contact section for more information. Once we have discussed the details of your event, we will send out a contract, which is to be signed and returned along with a deposit to confirm the booking.
Our event is in a remote location. Will you travel?
Yes. We are based in Glasgow but are happy to travel to Edinburgh, the South, the West and in the Central Belt. If your event is further afield we will do our best to accommodate this.
How much do you charge?
This depends on how long you would like us to play and how far we need to travel. Please contact us for more information.
Do you only play classical music?
No. As well as performing classical music we have a selection of jazz, traditional Scottish and popular songs to play. Please see our repertoire section for more details.
Do you play hymns?
Yes. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange the music for you.
There’s a song I want you to play that’s not on your repertoire list. Does this mean you can’t play it?
No. We are happy to arrange any piece of music for you.
What do you wear when you’re playing?
We usually wear smart, all black. However if you would like us to wear something other than this, please let us know!
Will it be the musicians I can see in the photographs?
The members of Korda String Quartet will always try to fulfil the bookings themselves. However, if one of the members is unable to play, we have some excellent deputy musicians that can take their place who are all experienced chamber and session musicians.
